Who is this guy driveling stuff into the ether?

A blessed young man who had an opportunity to spend many years in Europe before having the opportunity to retire in the land of my birth.

Years before retirement the plan was rather simple; get this space running, become a content creator and coach in order to help others.
We will be talking about the journey from 2022 to now at some time, things like overplanning, analysis paralysis, and the big one – procrastination.

But… “The best laid plans of mice and men will often go astray.”

“The best-laid schemes o’ mice an’ men / Gang aft agley” (often go awry/astray) is a famous proverb from Robert Burns’ 1785 poem “To a Mouse”. It signifies that despite careful planning, unforeseen circumstances can cause projects and dreams to fail. It is the origin of the title for John Steinbeck’s novel, Of Mice and Men.

So why then can you still find nothing much to enjoy here?
Your host, aka me, is a writer who doesn’t possess the great passion of other writers. I am not alone. Not every writer has been writing since they could hold a pen. For most of us it’s a difficult process.
It takes a lot of practice, building a habit and finding the discipline get it done. On top of that, retirement does not mean having an empty calendar.
I too am afflicted with the same human frailties as some of you are. This is what our conversation will be about, The Journey.

Anyway, working on my discipline and not giving up on this space.
